Moving to Orange

Thinking of moving to Orange?

The best part of living in the Orange region is the act of living, not surviving. Whether you choose the Orange City suburbs for your home, one of the towns or villages, a hobby farm or a rural residential lifestyle block, your choices are abundant and pretty cheap in relation to Sydney, with less than a third of the median house price in Sydney.

We know that making the move is not an easy decision to make. There are so many questions like 'What schools are there for my child?' and the favourite "Do you have any doctors and hospitals?'

Orange offers the best health services in regional NSW as well as being the largest of the regional cities within a four and a half hour drive of Sydney (west of the Blue Mountains). It has a wide and varied retail sector, excellent reputation for food and wine as well as first class education and childcare facilities. All of this makes it easier to attract people to work here and retain them, ensuring the economy keeps growing and providing a range of job options and careers for people.

The Orange region also offers an array of education providers from preschool through to tertiary education including Charles Sturt University and TAFE. The Orange region offers education from both independent and public schools.

The Orange region offers a variety of career opportunities. Prominent industries in the Orange region include mining, engineering, health and medical, aged care, education, retail, hospitality, public administration and transport logistics. There are also a number of full time and seasonal jobs in agriculture that can utilise skills from other industries.

There are over 130 sporting groups and clubs, and more than 40 leisure, interest and hobby groups in Orange City alone. From one of the footy codes to coin and stamp collecting, there is more than enough for anyone’s taste.
